The Baseus EnerCore CG11 6-in-1 Universal Travel Adapter can be used worldwide and supports use in over 200 countries and regions, including the U.S., U.K., E.U., Australia/NZ, Japan, China and Korea. It can be operated with an input voltage of 125 to 250 volts and delivers between 1,250 and 2,500 watts, depending on the mains voltage.

It is equipped with various plug types, including Type A (north America, Japan), Type C (Europe, parts of Africa), Type G (U.K., Malaysia, Singapore, parts of Middle East) and Type I (Australia, New Zealand, China), which are the most used across the world.

Thanks to its 6-in-1 design, it enables the simultaneous charging of up to six devices, which can be connected via two USB-A ports, one USB-C port and an integrated 27-inch (68cm) USB-C cable.

It also has two AC sockets for standard plugs, making it a real travel adapter. These are distributed over two sides. It is important to know that the adapter is not a voltage converter. It works with voltages from 100 to 250 volts, but does not convert voltages.

The Universal Travel Adapter also has important safety functions, including two integrated fuses that protect against overvoltage and overload. A spare fuse is also included so that a quick response is possible in the event of a fault. With its compact dimensions of approximately 2.2 x 2.2 x 3.2 inches (5.1 × 5.5 × 8.2cm) and a weight of 8.8oz (250g), this adapter won’t weigh you down or trouble the airport luggage scales.

Concentrated technology

The plugs disappear elegantly into the housing and are pushed out again using a sliding mechanism. This is fairly standard for universal travel adapters, but this one is special thanks to its integrated USB-C cable—so you always have a cable with you, which can be a godsend when unpacking.

The integrated USB-C cable delivers up to 70W. The single USB-C2 port delivers up to 60W, while the two USB-A ports together can deliver up to 60W. The grey USB-A1 port alone delivers up to 5W—enough to charge an Apple Watch or your AirPods case. The maximum output at one time is 70W.

After 30 minutes, we had charged an iPhone 15 to 50%, an 11-inch iPad Pro to 38% and a MacBook Air M3 to 55%. Note that the Universal Travel Adapter became very warm at high power when charging the MacBook Air M3.

Price

The Baseus EnerCore 6-in-1 Universal Travel Adapter is priced at $39.99 in the U.S. direct from Baseus and £29.99 in the U.K.

Should you buy the Baseus EnerCore 6-in-1 Universal Travel Adapter?

One charger for all countries means the many connections have the advantage that you always have the right one wherever you are in the world.

All together they mean that the travel adapter is larger than each single-country adapter would be and the sliding mechanism is a little fiddly and the plugs are not as stable as conventional designs, but with a universal adapter you gain the convenience of keeping just one charging device ready for your next trip, and it really comes into its own when visiting more than one region on a trip.

I am based in Germany and so noted that the Euro plug is slightly thinner than the standard and there is no VDE certification mark.

Apart from that local issue, the EnerCore 6-in-1 Universal Travel Adapter does exactly what you would expect it to do: it charges up to three devices simultaneously and also serves as an adapter for other electrical devices when traveling.
