Apple releases new AirPods Pro 3 beta firmware
Tuesday November 18, 2025. 10:00 PM , from Mac Daily News
Apple today released a new beta firmware update for the AirPods Pro 3, currently available only to developers. The update carries build number 8B5025a and includes no publicly detailed features or changes at this time. The release coincides with Apple’s ongoing testing of the iOS 26.2 update, which extends Live Translation support for AirPods to the European Union —s uggesting the firmware may be related to that feature. MacDailyNews Note: With the launch of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe, Apple introduced a streamlined beta firmware installation process: When AirPods are connected to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, developers can enable beta downloads directly from the AirPods settings interface to facilitate testing.
