Apple’s HomePod mini again labeled ‘out of stock’ and ‘discontinued’

Apple’s HomePod mini is no longer available from several online retailers, now listed as “discontinued” or “out of stock”—a pattern that has preceded updates in the past, though it may signal an impending refresh.

Apple’s compact Wi-Fi-enabled speaker, the HomePod mini, was introduced back in 2020… In terms of hardware, the HomePod mini hasn’t seen any updates since its launch, unless you count color changes. It’s been suggested that a successor product is in the works, and in October 2025 we also saw claims of dwindling stock.
Now, yet another report has outlined the same thing at select retailers in the United States.
As MacRumors points out, B&H Photo has labeled the HomePod mini as “discontinued” on its website, and is no longer selling the device… [T]he Midnight color of the HomePod mini is not available for shipping from Best Buy, while other color options remain in stock. Select color options are also out of stock at Target and Verizon.
The HomePod is not available at all from Staples, and is listed as backordered on the Adorama website. Walmart, meanwhile, only appears to have the HomePod mini in stock from resellers.
While this could be interpreted as an indication of an upcoming HomePod mini update, it’s not definitive proof by any means.
