iPhone 17 demand is accelerating in China, Jefferies says
Monday October 27, 2025. 06:01 PM , from Mac Daily News
According to Jefferies analyst Edison Lee, iPhone demand in China is rebounding, with growth in the world’s second-largest economy accelerating — a shift that overturns the firm’s prior pessimistic forecast. Sam Boughedda for Investing.com: Jefferies stated that “industry checks suggest growth in China has accelerated.” The firm estimated that “for the first five weeks since iPhone 17 shipment started, total iPhone unit growth reached 19% year over year,” a figure it described as “very impressive” and one that “continues to challenge our negative view on AAPL.” China and Hong Kong “show the strongest demand among the six markets we track,” [Lee added]. MacDailyNews Take: Starting at just $799, iPhone 17 offers a tremendous value that is actually pretty insane. Imagine, the original iPhone, sporting a 3.5-inch 320×480 LCD, a 2MP single rear camera, and a whopping 8GB storage retailed for $599 at launch in 2007 (we know, we paid it)!
