August slipped away, September is over in a blink, and October is knocking at the door, which means the year’s second Prime Day is landing soon. Amazon announced the year’s second deal event, with the Prime Big Deal Days being held on October 7-8, a fantastic time to get your hands on some new Apple gear.

When is Prime Big Deal Days 2025?

Amazon’s second Prime Day event of the year will kick off on October 7 and will last through October 8th, which is a similar period with last year’s event. Unlike the Prime Day we had in July, which lasted four days, this one keeps to the classic 48 hours we’ve seen before.

What is Prime Day?

Prime Day has been around for years, and it’s a massive shopping event Amazon has created for its Prime members. These are usually held twice a year, in July and October. During this time, thousands upon thousands of products get amazing discounts, and quite often these are better than what we see on Black Friday. This year, we expect to see good deals on most Apple tech, including iPads, Apple Watches, MacBooks, accessories, and more.

Of course, it’s not just Apple products that will go on sale, but also for most other tech, including chargers, cables, cases, and keyboards from Anker, Logitech, Beats, Belkin, and many other brands..

How to access Prime Big Deal Days discounts

Well, the name gives it away — Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days is a way to reward Prime members with exclusive discounts. So, if you’re already paying for a subscription to get free shipping and all the other perks, you’re also getting these Prime-exclusive deals. If you don’t want to get another subscription — we get it — there will still be loads of discounts to enjoy.

If you’re not already subscribed, you can start a 30-day free trial at any time. Considering the October Prime Day event is less than 30-days away, if you start it now, you’ll get to enjoy all those discounts.

An Amazon Prime subscription is $15 per month or $139 for the whole year, but you can get some discounts if you’re a student ($7.49 per month or $69 per year) or if you’re on government assistance.

When was Prime Day in previous years?

If we’re discussing Prime Day as a whole, we most recently had one in July. Unlike previous years, this one lasted for four-days and given how successful it was, we’re likely to see a return to this same format next summer.
