But now Amazon has dropped the M4 MacBook Air to a new best price lower than we’ve ever seen for the latest MacBook Air: just $799, an impressive $200 off its already-low $999 MSRP.

Compared to the previous MacBook Air models, you’re actually saving $500. Apple cut the price of the M4 Air by $100, plus upped the RAM from 8GB to 16GB, which previously cost $200. To put into perspective how cheap this is, Walmart sells the M1 Air with 8GB of RAM for $599, just $200 less for a 4-generation-old chip, half the RAM, and an outdated design.
