Apple Card high-yield Savings APY drops to 3.65%
As of May 28, 2025, the Apple Card Savings Account’s annual percentage yield has decreased from 3.75% to 3.65%, marking the second rate cut of 2025, as set by Apple and Goldman Sachs.
The account launched with a 4.15% interest rate for its first eight months. It rose to 4.25% in December 2023, then to 4.35% in early January 2024, and peaked at 4.5% in late January 2024. Subsequent reductions brought it to 4.4% in April, 4.25% in late September, 4.10% in October, and 3.90% in December. In March 2025, the rate dropped to 3.75% before reaching the current 3.65%.
Apple and Goldman Sachs adjust rates periodically based on economic conditions, yet the account’s rate remains significantly above the U.S. national average.
Exclusively for Apple Card holders, the savings account allows users to deposit Daily Cash rewards earned from Apple Card transactions into a high-yield savings account via the Wallet app. Users can also add funds from a linked bank account or their Apple Cash balance. Interest compounds daily, accruing on both the initial deposit and accumulated interest, with payouts deposited monthly into the savings account.
