‘Twentieth Anniversary MacBook Pro’ coming in 2026?
Tuesday November 5, 2024. 12:32 AM , from Mac Daily News
Times of India: The next-generation MacBook Pro will feature a thinner chassis and transition to OLED display technology, Gurman reported in his latest Power On newsletter. This delay means the 2025 models will only receive chip upgrades to M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max processors, without significant design changes. Gurman’s suggests that the postponement is primarily due to challenges related to display technology implementation. The new OLED displays are expected to mirror the technology used in the upcoming M4 iPad Pro lineup. The 2026 redesign will coincide with the introduction of Apple’s M6 chip family, which Gurman notes will be manufactured using 2-nanometer process technology, promising substantial performance improvements over previous generations.
