The Apple Watch Series 10 is a revelation

The Apple Watch Series 10 is a revelation
Apple Watch Series 10 features a refined design and brings new capabilities to the world’s most popular watch.
Apple in September unveiled Apple Watch Series 10, featuring a refined design and bringing new capabilities to the world’s most popular watch that make it even more powerful, intelligent, and sophisticated. Apple Watch Series 10 is the thinnest Apple Watch yet — making it more comfortable than ever — and offers the biggest, most advanced display of any Apple Watch. It also features new sleep apnea notifications; faster charging; water depth and temperature sensing; plus new health and fitness insights and intelligence in watchOS 11.
Apple Watch Series 10 is available in both aluminum and titanium, in an array of stunning colors and finishes. Jet black is a new polished aluminum finish that is distinctively reflective and sleek, while new titanium cases — available in natural, gold, and slate — have a spectacular jewelry-like shine.

Dwight Silverman for the Houston Chronicle:

If you are coming at the Series 10 from an older model, it is a revelation. That’s not necessarily for the design tweaks, which are welcome, but rather for the accumulation of advances Apple has made over time.
In 2018, I bought the Apple Watch Series 4. Over six years, newer versions held little interest; the Series 4 did all I needed. But come 2024, watchOS 11 wouldn’t install on it. Apple quit supporting my model with updated software so the time had come to upgrade.
I picked up the larger Series 10 GPS model and frankly, after living with it for a month, I now wonder why I waited so long. The 10 may be incremental compared with recent models, but it’s a giant leap over the 4 and if you’re sporting a Series 6 or older, you’d likely find the Series 10 to be as impressive an upgrade as I do.
Many people keep their Apple Watch charging overnight, but the Series 10 dramatically cuts the time it takes to juice it up. Drop it on the charger for 15 minutes and get an eight-hour top-off. It can charge from zero to 80% in about a half hour. While Apple has not increased the overall battery life since the Series 4 (18 hours), fast charging makes a huge difference in how you can use the Watch, including sleep monitoring without battery anxiety.
