Apple reportedly pulls 25 VPN apps in Russia at government’s request

In a move aligning with a request from Russia’s communications regulator Roskomnadzor, Apple removed 25 VPN apps from its App Store, according to Interfax on Thursday.
Reuters: Demand for VPN services soared in Russia after President Vladimir Putin ordered troops into Ukraine in 2022 and the authorities restricted access to some Western social media. Russian communications watchdog Roskomnadzor has already blocked access to some large VPNs, but others remained available.
