Does Apple's platform need to be opened up?

Does the European Union, the United States, or other governments need to intervene to fix potential problems in competitive markets for personal computing?Apple has a monopoly on the Steve Jobs TheaterApple's App Store, iPhone and its services including Messages are getting extreme scrutiny by governments globally.
