If you are looking to buy a new MacBook Pro you don’t have to pay full price. Our team of Apple experts search the web all year round for the top deals, offers and discounts for the MacBook Pro – seeking out the best money-off offers to save you time.

Apple announced 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in January 2023. These new MacBook Pro went on sale on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 and we are already seeing discounts–Amazon in the U.S. and KRCS in the U.K. both have money off (more details below), but we don’t expect to see huge discounts on these models for a while.

In the meantime though, you may get a great deal on one of the older M1 Pro or M1 Mac MacBook Pro models that launched in 2021 as retailers clear out stock. For example, you can save you can get $400 off the original price of a 16-inch MacBook Pro at Amazon U.S. and £450 off the original price of a 16-inch MacBook Pro at Amazon U.K. Just note that Apple outside the U.S. Apple has upped prices for the new MacBook Pro range, which means that the prices of the older models will look even more attractive.

If you don’t mind buying an older MacBook Pro, there’s an 2020 MacBook Pro M1, 512GB for £1,199 at Amazon U.K. That model was £1,499, so it’s £300 off as part of Amazon U.K.’s spring sale.

MacBook Pro: What you need to know

There are three different MacBook Pro sizes: the 13-, 14- and 16-inch models. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro were updated with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in January 2023, and a 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip went on sale on June 17, 2022. You may be able to get some good deals on the discontinued M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max models as resellers clear out old stock–scroll to the bottom of this article to check prices for the discontinued models.

Where to buy a MacBook Pro

There are limited stocks leading to some shipping delays, but you can find the MacBook Pro on sale at various locations. You could buy a MacBook Pro directly from Apple, or at stores and Apple Premium Resellers around the world – many of whom offer discounts on new and old Macs, so it’s worth shopping around. Best MacBook Pro refurbished deals

While Apple rarely discounts new Macs, from time to time there are some excellent deals to be had in Apple’s Refurbished Store. The Macs in Apple’s refurbished store may be ex-display stock, or they may have been returned to Apple due to a fault, but they are fully reconditioned now and come with a full year’s warranty. It’s not only Apple that sells refurbished Macs, but Apple does offer some great incentives to buy from Apple’s Refurbished Store, so we do recommend taking a look there for great MacBook Pro deals.

We often see the cheaper M1 MacBook Pro on sale on the refurbished store, which means you could get the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro Apple M1 Chip with 8‑Core CPU and 8‑Core GPU with 256GB SSD for just £1,099/$1,099. A saving of £200/$200.

There are often deals for refurbished MacBook Pro – but these tend to sell out quickly so we recommend you check often. Most of the deals we have seen are for the Intel-powered models rather than M1 or M2-series Macs. In the UK watch this page and the US Refurb Store page is here.
