How Do I Video Capture a Screen Recording Like Your Tutorials?

Thank you for your list of devices and apps used in making your great tutorials. How do you screen capture them? Do you use the QuickTime screen recording? If you want to use a video clip in a tutorial do you have to use Soundflower to capture system audio? I havenʻt had much luck with it. Thank you. Joan
