Apple Will Now Fix Your iPhone Even If You Have a Non-Apple Battery

Wednesday March 6, 2019. 07:14 PM , from MacMost
Previously, if you had replaced your iPhone’s battery with one from a third-party, then Apple would no longer touch your iPhone. If that battery failed or something else broke on your iPhone, you were on your own. But now Apple has changed that policy, allowing the Genius Bars and authorized service providers to fix broken screens and other issues even if the battery had been replaced with a non-Apple one.

Repairs unrelated to the battery will leave the battery in place, and you can even get the battery itself replaced if that is the problem. Apple has had a similar policy for third-party displays since 2017.
