How Do I Free the Memory Of My 512 GB SSD MacBook Pro?

I have a MBP with 512 GB SSD. My Mac is now running short with space. I have a 2TB iCloud account. How can I free space on my mac and store files on my iCloud. If I delete files on MBP, they would also be gone from iCloud. —– Dr Nishith Chandra
