Monday February 24, 2025. 06:39 PM , from ComputerWorld
Polish company Clone Robotics has unveiled Protoclone, a human-like robot equipped with synthetic muscles and a polymer skeleton consisting of 206 bones.
The YouTube clip below shows Protoclone using its synthetic muscles to move. Protoclone has a 500-watt electric pump as its heart and four cameras for eyes. In addition, the robot has 320 pressure-sensitive sensors and 70 inertial sensors, according to Ars Technica. In the future, this kind of robot could eventually help around the household — for example, by cooking, washing dishes and doing laundry.
