Friday March 3, 2023. 02:19 AM , from Akihabara News
Akihabara News (Tokyo) — Japan Casino School, which specializes in training card game dealers, has launched an internship program in cooperation with Paradise Casino in South Korea.
Japan Casino School sees this new program as part of national efforts to have competent, trained Japanese dealers available when Japan opens its own casino resorts, now being considered for Osaka and Sasebo in the first round of development. Successful applicants will spend three months gaining practical experience at either Paradise Casino Walkerhill in central Seoul or Paradise City in Incheon. The first internships, which are paid positions, begin in April. It is open to anyone over 19 years old, so applicants can be at the beginning of their professional careers or much older people looking for a second career. There are about twenty casinos throughout South Korea, though all but one, Kangwon Land, are legally limited to host only foreign nationals. Paradise City, one of the two possible locations affiliated with this internship program, is a joint venture between South Korea’s Paradise Group and Japan’s Sega Sammy Holdings.
