Tokyo hotel apologizes for "Japanese only" and "foreigners only" elevator signs

A Tokyo hotel that placed notices reading 'Japanese only' and 'foreigners only' on elevators doors has removed them after people objected.
Akasaka Excel Hotel Tokyu said in a statement it 'had no intention to discriminate' against foreigners. The hotel said it only wanted to keep Japanese and foreigners separated due to Covid concerns. — Read the rest
