We’ve reached the top of the list, and this year’s reader-favorite bassist is Tal Wilkenfeld. Tal was busy this year, touring with the Allman Betts Family Revival and Incubus and recording some great music with Scary Goldings and Scary Pockets.

Ellen Alaverdyan is a truly inspiring bassist. The young musician turned 11 in 2023, and continued recording her videos showcasing her skills and growth. Ellen once again makes the annual reader favorite bassists list for 2023.

Geddy Lee was super busy in 2023, and the news was exciting. He published his memoir, released his docuseries, and unearthed some demos from his 2000 solo debut, “My Favorite Headache.” That was enough, but there were other things to enjoy from Geddy in 2023.
