D’Angelico: New for ’22

Gotta love a big ‘ol D’Angelico arch top. D’Angelico makes lots of fun guitars but these are the ones that really take me back to those handmade classics from master-luthier John D’Angelico back in the day. You know, the kind of oversized arch top guitars that you can really wrap your arms around. Check out the return of the very huggable Bedford to the Premier series.

January 14th, 2022 – New York City. D’Angelico Guitars is welcoming the return of the Premier Bedford, Premier EXL-1, and fresh new finishes across the Premier SS, DC, Mini DC and LS acoustics.

Premier EXL-1
Upon its return to the Premier Series, the flagship D’Angelico archtop has received a makeover. Now featuring a satin finish over natural wood tones, the Premier EXL-1 offers warmer, woodier archtop tone than ever before. With a slim C-shape neck, medium vintage fretwire and comfortable 1 and 11/16″ nut width, the EXL-1 is remarkably playable, whether you’re a young jazzer or seasoned vet. Featuring classic Art Deco aesthetic flourishes and a single floating Duncan Designed mini-humbucker for unobstructed, articulate tone, the Premier EXL-1 is a standout in its class. Now available in two vintage-inspired finishes: Satin Walnut and Satin Honey Blonde. US MAP $999.99

Premier Bedford
The Bedford has at last returned to the Premier Series. Now pairing its sleek offset body with two Duncan Designed P90s, the Premier Bedford offers sparkling and elastic articulation in a tried-and-true configuration. Constructed with either a mahogany or basswood body depending on your color of choice, the Premier Bedford was designed to be well-balanced, both sonically and physically. Its slim C-shape neck and fast fingerboard radius guarantee player comfort, while generous body contours and overall size make it easy to wield. Now available in Sky Blue, Oxblood and Black Flake. US MAP $849.99

A Sky Blue finish has been added to the Premier SS, DC, and Mini DC, and a Satin Vintage Sunburst has been added to all models in the Premier Acoustic LS Series.
