Pulsar intros 1178 FET compressor limiter

Pulsar Audio has released the Pulsar 1178 FET limiter, based on a rare and expensive legend of the recording studio, the 1178, which is more versatile and cleaner than its older brother, the 1176. The Pulsar 1178 meticulously recreates the original hardware in its tonal color and compression character. They’ve also taken things further, adding all the features you would expect from a modern, versatile tool, including a full-featured sidechain EQ, 4 types of saturations for even more distinctive tone, mid/side processing, and comprehensive digital metering to precisely control your dynamics.

The Pulsar 1178 limiter is available now for €149, with an introductory price of €89 until March 14. Pulsar Audio newsletter subscribers who already own a Pulsar Audio plugin should be receiving a loyalty offer of €59 via email. The plugin requires macOS 10.8 or later, including Big Sur, an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host, and an iLok account. A hardware iLok dongle is not required.
