KJF audio announces SA-01 amplifier

Building on the success of our fully configurable multi-channel Ncore MA-01 amplifiers we are introducing a stereo amplifier – the SA-01. Where the MA-01 was built with pure utility in mind where form followed function. With the SA-01 we have allowed ourselves a little more freedom in the design of the case work to bring you something great to look at and more at home in an audiophile HiFi system where it will take pride of place on your equipment rack.

As customers often employ phono connections and cables for audiophile systems we have introduced phono connectors alongside our usual XLR connectors. A high quality sealed switch allows you to choose your preferred connection type. As we would we would prefer no switch in the signal path we have used the best switch we could find for this purpose.

Offering lots of style choice, you can choose between 8 mm milled aluminium fronts offered in cool anthracite or a choice of solid wood, including Walnut, Sapele, Cherry and Maple to match the decor of your homes.

The SA-01 still includes all the advanced operation you have come to expect from KJF audio and the MA-01. Value is still intrinsic to our brand and we have bought this to you at a great price again. Built around your choice of Hypex NC***MP modules offering 3 different power outputs across 6 different modules. You can configure these as a stereo or Monoblock amplifiers.

Stefan at KJF audio, who is well used to supplying very high performing speakers at bargain prices, wanted to design an amplifier that was flexible and truly crossed audio boundaries. Flexible enough that each build could be a custom build while making construction a standard process. In this way the customer could buy an amp that matched their needs without Stefan having to do a ground up custom build for each customer. This locks in the cost saving for the customer associated with production line techniques while maintaining a flexible design. So flexible it can even be reconfigured should the customer decide at a later date. To keep the pricing low and to make this available to as many customers as possible the SA-01 will be a direct sales product like the MA-01 before it and is available starting at £465 plus VAT here along with all of the tech specs.

The design utilises the Hypex N-core modules which appear in some of the most sought-after high-end amplifiers, so absolute sound quality is beyond doubt. They come in a range of power output from 100 Watt to 500 Watt so power is available too.

Using high Quality CMC and Neutrik connectors the package is topped off with a simple but intelligent user interface communicated to the user via the ring light at the front. Clip indication, over temperate indication, power state, DC detection and module failure are all indicted and the amplifier will auto shut down when protection is needed and indicate to the user why.
