Dmitry Sches debuts Thorn software synthesizer
Saturday October 21, 2017. 03:12 AM , from MacOSX Audio
Dmitry Sches has released Thorn, a software synthesizer that was designed to be easy to use and yet sound awesome. Thorn offers 3 oscillators that utilize Spectral Synthesis as well as FM, RM, PWM, and Hard Sync. This gives you total control over all harmonics involved into the generation process of your sound. Sound sources are organized as spectrum tables of 16 frames with the ability to edit and morph harmonics. Spectral synthesis allows “post-processing” of all the generated harmonics with a special filter to colorize the final output. Additionally, Thorn provides a custom arpeggio editor and a fun Glitch sequencer for slicing and dicing.
Dmitry Sches Thorn is available now for $119 with an intro price of $69 until December 31. It requires macOS 10.9 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host.
