Apple files patent for underwater user interface for iPhones, iPads

Thursday July 22, 2021. 02:51 PM , from Mac Minute
Forget water resistant Apple devices. The tech giant has filed for a patent (number 20210223925) for an underwater user interface. It hints at WATERPROOF iPhones and perhaps even iPads.
In the patent filing, Apple notes that, as electronic devices are manufactured to be water resistant or water proof, some users are using their electronic devices while engaging in water based activities or other activities that cause their electronic devices to come in contact with water or other liquids. Users will, in some circumstances, operate their electronic devices while the electronic devices are wet.
But why stop there? Appleā€™s patent filing involves underwater user interfaces.
More specifically, it involves devices provided with faster, more efficient methods for accessing underwater user interfaces, as well as interfaces for interacting with an electronic device while the electronic device is under water.
