SwiftUI Preview Failed?

I was doing a simple list tutorial and all of a sudden my preview failed. Two buttons were available: Try Again & Diagnostics. I pressed Try Again twice before it finally started working.
I'm used to preview going on standby and just having to press Resume but this is the first time it crashed. Just a little concerned because I bought a new Mac to learn iOS development, so naturally I'm a little protective of my new machine (not cheap). Is this a known issue with Xcode?
I did a little digging before posting here. What exactly does clean build folder do?
